Disney Fab 50 Sculptures: Where to Find Golden Statues at Walt Disney World

The Disney Fab 50 Character Collection is a collection of golden Disney character statues across Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. You can make them a photo scavenger hunt between attractions or use MagicBand+ for interactive fun.

Where Can You Find the Disney Fab 50 Sculptures?

The golden statues are inside the four Walt Disney World theme parks. Use the park-by-park character checklist below to choose your favorites. For current placement, check the official attraction map or ask a Cast Member; a character’s statue is not necessarily beside its namesake ride or pavilion.

For example, Disney identifies Winnie the Pooh and Piglet near The Crystal Palace, and Dumbo with Timothy Q. Mouse at the central Plaza Hub. Those are useful stops to combine with time near Cinderella Castle. Disney’s Pooh location guide and Dumbo location guide provide more context.

How Does MagicBand+ Work with the Disney Fab 50 Quest?

Disney’s instructions say to approach a sculpture, watch for your MagicBand+ to light up and vibrate, then make a circular hand gesture while facing the character. A multicolor response indicates the character has been collected virtually. Disney also lists the Fab 50 Quest among the activities in the Play Disney Parks app.

Do You Need MagicBand+ to See the Statues?

No. You can look for the sculptures and take your own photos without buying a band. MagicBand+ is for the interactive experience; ordinary sightseeing is a separate activity. Do not buy an accessory just because you want a family photo with a golden character.

What If Your MagicBand+ Does Not Respond?

Start with the official instructions above and try again while facing the sculpture without blocking the path. Check your band’s charge and setup instructions. If it still does not respond, ask a Cast Member for help rather than spending your park time repeating the same gesture. You can still enjoy the photo stop.

How to Plan a Disney Golden Statue Scavenger Hunt

Choose favorites before your park day. Let each person pick a few characters. Finding those can be a satisfying goal without completing all four parks.
Match the hunt to your existing tickets. Spread the activity over the parks you already plan to visit. Compare the added cost and travel time before buying admission options solely for the statues.

Build in breaks. Outdoor photo stops still add walking and time in the sun. Prioritize meals, water, shade, and your group’s energy.
Keep pathways clear. Take turns, avoid stepping into landscaping, and follow posted directions. Wait for a clear view instead of crowding another family’s photo.

Are the Disney 50th Anniversary Statues Still There?

Disney still lists the Fab 50 Character Collection as a current attraction. The anniversary origin does not mean the collection ended with the celebration. Check Disney’s current listing before your trip for availability.

Are There 50 Statues or 50 Characters?

The “50” refers to characters. Disney’s current Quest description specifies 36 sculptures featuring 50 characters. Paired and grouped characters explain why the two totals differ.

Is the Fab 50 Scavenger Hunt Free?

There is no separate sculpture-viewing ticket, but you need valid admission to the park you enter. A MagicBand+ purchase is optional for visitors who only want to see or photograph the statues. Account for park admission and optional accessories when planning your budget.

Can You See All the Golden Statues in One Day?

The collection spans four parks, so an all-in-one-day attempt would require suitable admission and substantial travel between parks. For a first trip, we recommend finding characters along your planned route instead of making all four parks a requirement.

Are the Fab 50 Statues Character Meet-and-Greets?
