Walt Disney World has four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. One day per park is a useful starting point if you want to experience all four. Add travel time and a rest day if your schedule allows. You don’t need to visit every park to have a memorable trip.
Compare room capacity, transportation, location and amenities—not just the nightly rate. Disney Value, Moderate and Deluxe resorts offer different experiences. Nearby hotels may also fit your budget; compare total costs and the benefits included.
A standard theme park ticket covers one park per day; Park Hopper adds the option to visit more than one. Date-based tickets do not currently require theme park reservations, while other admission types may. Water parks and special events have separate admission requirements and operating schedules.
Allow for your hotel, tickets, meals, transportation, optional Lightning Lane passes and extras. Prices vary by dates, party size and choices. A personalized quote is more useful than a single average trip price.
Begin once you have a travel window and budget, especially for school breaks or a specific resort. Short-notice trips can still be possible. Explore our guide to choosing when to visit Disney World.
Dining reservations generally open 60 days ahead. Guests with a Disney Resort hotel reservation can book for their stay, up to 10 nights, beginning 60 days before arrival. Other guests book 60 days before each dining date. Popular meals are subject to availability.
These optional paid passes are separate from park admission. Multi Pass covers a selection of experiences; Single Pass is sold for individual high-demand attractions; Premier Pass offers one-time access to available Lightning Lane experiences in one park without selecting arrival windows. Prices and availability vary.
Eligible Disney Resort and select hotel guests can purchase passes starting seven days before check-in for their stay, up to 14 days. Other guests generally start three days ahead, with eligible dates depending on ticket type. Check Disney’s current Lightning Lane rules and link your tickets in My Disney Experience before your purchase window.
