Disney’s 50th Anniversary

Walt Disney World in Florida turns 50 in October. To help celebrate, Mickey and Minnie will be wearing iconic threads and structures such as Cinderella’s Castle and Spaceship Earth are getting new lighting for Disney’s 50th Anniversary.

Beginning Oct. 1, Walt Disney World Resort will host “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” in honor of Disney’s 50th anniversary.  Which means new experiences at the four theme parks and beyond.

As part of the celebration, Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom will feature golden bunting and a 50th anniversary crest as part of its festive new look.

Animal Kingdom

Magical fireflies will also inhabit the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. As a result, special new touches are coming to life on the Hollywood Tower Hotel at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

EPCOT, new lights will shine across the reflective panels of Spaceship Earth. Which will be connecting to one another and resembling stars in a nighttime sky. This permanent new lighting will continue beyond “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” as a defining feature of the park.

Mickey and Minnie’s New Outfits

Guests will also want to keep an eye on Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. Who will have sparkling new looks for the celebration. As hosts of the event, they’ll be dressed for the occasion in custom-made fashions of EARidescent fabric with gold highlights.

My love for Disney began when I was a young girl, and my parents took me to Disney with my brothers for a boy scout trip. During High School, I attended Benjamin Russell in Alexander City, AL, where I was a majorette in the band. We were given the opportunity to perform at Magic Kingdom during one of their parades, which was a dream come true and such an honor to have been chosen. Walt Disney’s vision was to dream, believe, dare, and do. I think this is still true today!

I began my travel experience at another home-based travel agency, where I learned about the travel business. During this time, my love for Disney and the magical experience Disney offered became the focus of my travel business.

The many years of experience in sales and the importance of customer service, loyalty, and dedication for every client to have a magical experience is when Fairytale Journeys, LLC was created. For the past 20 years, my family and I have visited Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, and Aulani. I enjoy helping others plan their magical vacations to WDW. I give each client the personal service that they should have. I ensure everything is taken care of for their magical vacation from the beginning of the reservations to the end.
