Disney Celebrates 100 Years of Wonder

Disney 100th Anniversary Celebration

The Disney 100th anniversary celebration is a worldwide event, but Disneyland Resort plays a vital role. Disneyland celebrates with unique décor, character outfits, food, and drink—plus merchandise bearing the logo of this significant milestone. The Disney 100 celebration started at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif., on Jan. 27th, 2023.

The biggest news is that the celebration will bring new nighttime entertainment, including a fireworks show and an updated version of World of Color. The Magic Happens parade returns in spring, and another brand-new ride is coming to Disneyland with this year’s festival!

 

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway 

 

Mickey and Minnie are taking the stage in their first ride-through attraction at Disneyland Resort! Inside El CapiTOON Theater, this experience transports Guests into the wacky cartoon world of Mickey—where anything can happen. Guests will board a train engineered by Goofy and embark on a zany adventure.

To ride Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway when it opens, you must join the free virtual queue through the Disneyland app. The virtual queue will open twice daily, at 7 a.m. and 1 p.m., Pacific Standard Time (PST). Guests may purchase an individual Lightning Lane arrival window and gain entry ahead of the general public.

“World of Color – ONE”

This all-new nighttime spectacular at Disney California Adventure Park celebrates the storytelling legacy started by Walt Disney, recreating how a single drop of water can inspire even more change.

This new show for the Disneyland Resort will be an explosion of music, color, and characters from all over Disney history!

“Wondrous Journeys”

Every evening at Disneyland Park, “Wondrous Journeys” transforms Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, and the Rivers of America into an artist’s canvas with lighting effects and projections to celebrate the end of another day in a magical world.

This nighttime spectacular by Disney Live Entertainment presents an epic adventure that spans 100 years of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ storytelling.

 

 

 

 

“Wondrous Journeys” takes to the skies with sparkling fireworks on select nights. Check out this behind-the-scenes look at the recording session for the show’s original song, “It’s Wondrous.”

During both “World of Color – ONE” and “Wondrous Journeys,” your MagicBand+ will light up. The band will also vibrate to enhance the fireworks display.

My love for Disney began when I was a young girl, and my parents took me to Disney with my brothers for a boy scout trip. During High School, I attended Benjamin Russell in Alexander City, AL, where I was a majorette in the band. We were given the opportunity to perform at Magic Kingdom during one of their parades, which was a dream come true and such an honor to have been chosen. Walt Disney’s vision was to dream, believe, dare, and do. I think this is still true today!

I began my travel experience at another home-based travel agency, where I learned about the travel business. During this time, my love for Disney and the magical experience Disney offered became the focus of my travel business.

The many years of experience in sales and the importance of customer service, loyalty, and dedication for every client to have a magical experience is when Fairytale Journeys, LLC was created. For the past 20 years, my family and I have visited Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, and Aulani. I enjoy helping others plan their magical vacations to WDW. I give each client the personal service that they should have. I ensure everything is taken care of for their magical vacation from the beginning of the reservations to the end. That’s why it’s so important to book with a travel agent so that you can receive a personal touch on your vacation.
