The holiday season is officially underway at Walt Disney World, with the arrival of Christmas decorations throughout the parks.
Due to the pandemic, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom and the Candlelight Processional at Epcot will be postponed this year. As a result, there will be plenty of other holiday cheer at Walt Disney World for everyone to enjoy!
MAGIC KINGDOM
At Magic Kingdom, the lampposts and the buildings along Main Street, U.S.A. have been adorned with garland and Christmas wreaths. The large Christmas tree has also been installed in the Town Square area.
Characters in their Christmas attire will make appearances at the Main Street, U.S.A. train station. As well as during various character cavalcades throughout the day. The Dapper Dans barbershop quartet will also perform holiday harmonies.
Each evening Cinderella’s Castle sees a transformation with special projection effects. The new projections begin each night at sundown. This gives the castle a brand new look every 15 minutes. Some of the projection designs include a whimsical Christmas sweater, regal overlay of red, green, and gold ornamentation.
